Dear Wine Lover,
We couldn’t wait to submit to you our offer regarding the Supertuscan Tignanello 2009, the last released by Piero Antinori.
Tignanello doesn’t need much introduction as it is well known to everybody. Since the 1982 vintage, the blend has been 80% Sangiovese, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc. It was the first Sangiovese to be aged in small oak barrels and among the few wines in modern times to use a non-traditional grape variety, Cabernet, in the blend. Tignanello has become a unique wine in taste and quality, for wine lovers a definite must try.
Considering that 2009 was a very good vintage for the region, you can’t do anything wrong in purchasing some bottles.
We are pleased to offer you:
75 cl Tignanello 2009 - Antinori – CHF 64.00 (CHF 69.10 Swiss Vat included)
SPECIAL PRICE for:
36 bottles or more for CHF 63.00 (CHF 68.05 Swiss Vat included)
94 Points Robert Parker: The 2009 Tignanello is quite beautiful. Cedar, graphite, sweet herbs, licorice and leather add complexity to a core of highly expressive red fruits. The 2009 impresses for its energy, drive and focus. Today, the 2009 comes across as slightly understated relative to many recent vintages, especially 2007 and 2008. There is a silkiness and polish that is reminiscent of the 2004. Tignanello is 75% Sangiovese, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc from vineyards in San Casciano Val di Pesa, one of the most evocative hillsides in all of Italy. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2029.
