Saffredi 2008 was one of our most requested and highly appreciated Italian wines, and we are delighted to inform you that Saffredi 2009 has just been released on the market and will be available in a few weeks time.

With a classic Bordeaux blend: 49% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, with a 4% Syrah that adds a voluptuous note, Saffredi is now rightfully gaining his spot among the most renowned Super Tuscan and conquering a role of undoubted importance in the Italian oenological scene. The 2011 was the first year in which we focused on Saffredi and with total surprise we sold more than 5’000 bottles, receiving from our best clients only positive feedback.

We give you the possibility to secure you some quantities of this new incredible vintage as we feel it’s the best alternative to Tignanello, having all the necessary qualities to become one of our new best-sellers.

Robert Parker 93: The 2009 Saffredi comes across as a bit subdued at this stage. Dark red cherries, licorice, tobacco and new leather meld together in this supple Saffredi. Overall, the 2009 looks like a fairly restrained and accessible Saffredi, with neither the structure nor the opulence of the truly great vintages. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2027.
