I’m glad to announce that finally the new vintage of Masseto has been released on the market: MASSETO 2009

Masseto does not need any introduction as it is the most sought after Italian wine and one of the best Merlot in the world. Compared to its Bordeaux rival “Petrus”, both 100% Merlot, there is still a big difference in price; in the last decade, Masseto is from 3 to 5 times less expensive than Petrus…

This year the producer released 10% less quantity on the market but the 2009, is still the cheapest vintage. All last vintages of Masseto have increased in value, since their release.

Beside the new vintage we would like to inform you, that we managed to organize a Masseto Vip Dinner which will be hold at our premises on the 17th November. At a cost of  CHF 1.490,00 per person we will taste all vintages produced until 2009. Would be great to share this unique experience with you. It is a very exclusive dinner with only 14 guests, we only have 5 seats left, so if you wish to attend to this lovely dinner do not hesitate to inform us right away.

James Suckling 95: Sexy and muscular. Blackberries, licorice and tar on the nose. Bark, earth, and spice as well. Super subtle. Full-bodied, with super chewy tannins and a wonderful line. So beautiful. Creamy tannins. A baby 2001 but not quite the depth or complexity. Try in 2016.
