Dear Wine Lover,
The new vintage of Tenuta dell’Ornellaia’s second wine is finally available, Serre Nuove 2010!
Le Serre Nuove dell’Ornellaia was first introduced with vintage 1997, resulting from the decision to carry out an even more rigid selection during the blending phase of the base wines which give life to Ornellaia. Produced primarily from the younger vineyards, the wine combines the pedigree of the flagship wine with freshness, accessibility and softness together with a structure, balance and intensity typical of the great terroir of the Estate. Serre Nuove 2010 is a Typical Bordeaux blend composed of 45% Merlot, 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet franc.
I’m sure you will agree with me that Serre Nuove 2010 is a great wine for an excellent price:

Antonio Galloni 91-93: The 2010 Le Serre Nuove dell’Ornellaia shows off tons of concentration and sheer depth. Mocha, espresso, dark cherries and plums are some of the many notes that take shape in the glass. The 2010 is a decidedly powerful, virile wine endowed with considerable power. It will be interesting to see how the layers of flavor flesh out once the wine has been bottled. For now, the 2010 is a highly promising Serre Nuove. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2027.
