Dear Wine Lover,
2009 was probably the best vintage of Bordeaux ever which obviously reflected also in the high prices for the wines of this vintage. So it is a big pleasure to offer two great wines from Chateau Phélan Segur which are probably the best for price/quality for 2009: Phélan Ségur 2009 and its second wine Frank Phélan 2009.
Château Phélan Ségur is located in the heart of Saint-Estèphe and owned since 1985 by the Gardinier-Family, represented by Xavier Gardinier (former General Director of Champagne Pommery). Situated close to Second Grand Cru Classé Chateau Montrose, Chateau Phélan-Ségur benefits from the best terroirs and conditions of the region, with the result of producing a real classic Saint Estephe wine. Phelan Segur 2009 is a blend of 58% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 40 % Merlot and 2 % Cabernet-Franc while Frank Phélan is composed of 75 % Merlot and 25 % Cabernet-Sauvignon.
Here following our incredible offer:
75.0 cl Phélan Ségur - St. Estephe 2009 CHF 38.00 (CHF 41.05 VAT Included)
36 bottles or more at CHF 37.00 (CHF 39.95 VAT Included)
James Suckling 93: The best Phelan-Segur since the 1990, this is a rather dense, full-bodied, massive wine for a cru bourgeois. Sweet blackberry and black raspberry fruit intermixed with crushed rock and a hint of subtle oak jump from the glass of this full-bodied, intense, yet attractive and alluring wine. There is significant depth and substance to this Phelan-Segur, which is a sleeper of the vintage that should last up to 15 or more years.
75.0 cl Frank Phelan 2009- St. Estephe 2009 CHF 21.00 (CHF 22.70 VAT Included)
36 bottles or more at CHF 20.00 (CHF 21.60 VAT Included)
