Dear Wine Lover,
Last week at the Merlot World Championship, Cantina Monti has been awarded with the price of “Best Merlot in the world” at the “Mondial du Merlot 2012” (please follow this link for more info: http://www.mondial-du-merlot.com/). More than 300 Merlot from different regions around the world have been tasted. We are very proud for our Merlot del Ticino and for Cantina Monti, especially because it is also one of our favorite wines of the region. We have tasted the wine some months back and were surprised of its quality too and this is why we offered it to our clients. We still have some bottles in our stock at the same price as 3 months ago, please find attached the offer we sent in July.
As our Ticino Merlot seems to be very appreciated internationally, we would like to give you the possibility to try another great producer from our region, Gialdi-Brivio run by Feliciano Gialdi and Guido Brivio. These are two producers which made a joint venture in 2001 and unificated only administrative matters, but holding separate everything concerning production. In fact all the grapes coming from the Sopraceneri area are vinificated by Gialdi, and all grapes coming from Sottoceneri region by Brivio.
