We were able to secure us a big part of the allocation of this limited and very exclusive Special Edition of 002 for 007 James Bond – 2002 Bollinger of which only 200 cases of 3 bottles came on the Swiss market.
The Champagnes of Bollinger are an institution for wine lovers and known to everybody. Bollinger covers since 40 years an important role also in the adventures of the most famous English special agent, James Bond. In fact these Champagnes were tasted from Sean Connery to Daniel Craig in every movie and always together with the nicest Bondgirls.
To celebrate the 50th year of Bond films history Bollinger released a Limited Edition dedicated to the anniversary, Brut Limited Edition 002 for 007 James Bond – 2002 Bollinger. According to the cellar Master of Bollinger, Mathieu Kauffmann, “Only a Champagne of this vintage could satisfy the high standards of James Bond” and Robert Parker and Wine Spectator confirm the quality both rating this champagne with 94 points. The bottle and the packaging are really unique and beautiful: The special box can be opened only with a special code and it has the shape of the silencer of the mythical Walther Ppk, the gun of James Bond (attached a photo of it). A real masterpiece for collectors and an amazing Champagne for winelovers.

Rober Parker 94: The 2002 Brut La Grande Annee is marvelous. The 2002 is an understated Grande Annee that caresses the palate with layers of effortless, weightless fruit. The mousse is exceptionally fine, which adds to the impression of total elegance. This is a relatively bright, floral Grande Annee with plenty of aromatic lift, inner perfume and no sense of heaviness at all. A rich, creamy finish adds the final note of complexity and pedigree. The 2002 is 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, 71% from Grand Cru villages and 29% from Premier Crus. Disgorged February 2011. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2022.
Wine Spectator 94: Ripe, appealing flavors of peach, Gala apple, toast and blood orange mix with a streak of minerality and notes of spice, all set on the fine-grained texture. Fresh and focused, with racy acidity and a long, mouthwatering, nut-tinged finish. Drink now through 2025. 1,000 cases imported. –AN
