Château Vieux Fortin
Ideally located just northwest of the village of Saint-Émilion, Château Vieux-Fortin is a historic estate that lies between the region’s leading producers, Château-Figeac and Château Cheval Blanc, just next to Château La Dominique. Previously owned by Claude Sellan, this property was acquired by Clément Fayat in 2009. This purchase was made in the hopes of expanding the vineyard holdings of Vignobles Clément Fayat Group, which also own châteaux Clément Pichon in Haut-Médoc, Prieur de la Commanderie and La Commanderie de Mazeyres in Pomerol and most importantly, La Dominique in Saint-Émilion. While this property has been producing good wines for a long time, the Fayat family aims to integrate this 5-hectare plot into Château La Dominique. This is a unique plot of land, consisting of an astonishing terroir made up of clay and limestone. Jean-Luc Thunevin currently acts as Technical Director.
