Domaine Bosquet des Papes

Acting as a working vineyard since 1860, the Boiron family’s winemaking savior-faire has been passed down over five generations. Emmanuel Boiron was the first to invest in these Châteauneuf vineyards, and in 1936, Joseph-Victor, created “Clos Chantemerle”, a brand name they used to sell wine under for 30 years. By 1965, the vineyard had grown significantly in size and the domaine’s name was changed to Bosquet des Papes. In 1995, Nicolas Boiron joined the family business and acquired an additional 3 hectares of Côte-du-Rhône and 4.5 hectares of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Along with his wife, Jeanne-Claire, the two have continued to do their best to carry on the tradition of winemaking, while including modern techniques. They make a variety of different wines including, A La Gloire de mon Grand Père, a wine made with almost 100% Grenache, as well as Chant Le Merle Vieilles Vignes, their best wine which is produced from their oldest vines of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, dating from 70-100 years old.
