Composition:
Only 53% of the grapes harvested have been blended into ao yun grand cru by village: 23% xidang, 21% sinong, 32% shuori, 24% adong by grape variety: 67% cabernet sauvignon, 17% cabernet franc, 10% syrah, 6% petit verdot winemaking: 35% in new oak barrels, 35% in old barrels; 30% in stone ware jars
Nose: restrained fresh floral and deep with notes of licorice, smokiness and sweet spices (nutmeg and cinnamon). Balanced by black fruits like blackberry, cherry stone.
Mouthfeel: the wine is delicate and vibrant, with both juicy and velvety tannins. It shows a fine acidity with notes of crème de cassis, graphite and mountain herbs.
Finish: long finish on minerality and red fruits. A great potential for ageing
