WINE OF THE WEEK
This amazing producer from Tuscany is rapidly climbing the ladder of Italy’s wine world. Always respecting the land and tradition, they work in a context of experimentation that ranges from biodynamics to the latest technologies. They have been making mass selections for a long time, with the result that nowhere else in Fèlsina there are as many Sangiovese clones and rootstocks planted.
Fontalloro is produced with 100% Sangiovese grapes coming from vineyards within the area of Chanti Classico, more precisely in the upper part of Fèlsina and in the Chianti Colli Senesi appellation. The first vintage of production was in 1983.
